Search For Me Foundation and their Involvement
Search For Me Foundation receives information on yet another case where a family is pleading for help because they feel law enforcement has dropped the ball. Although David Marshburn and his team at Search For Me Foundation have not agreed to take on the case at this time, we have agreed to help get the information out there and to look over the case as timing allows.
It was difficult reading all the incoming information on this case and not want to call out the horrific actresses, actors, armchair detectives, and drama queens.
This Missing Person case has been referred to as a Public Interest and a “Trial By Social Media”.
The Story of Missing teenager, Karlie Gusé
Karlie is your average teenager that went missing under mysterious circumstances. She is a tall, slender, blue-eyed sixteen year old enjoying her life. She was a junior at Bishop Union High School.
Those that knew her, “She is a good girl who has never been a problem”. “She is responsible, sweet, shy, caring, loves her family and friends.” “She’s never ran away or disappeared.”
She was currently in counseling in school but never any trouble that would give reason to believe she would run away or take her own life.
Mom – Lindsay Fairley – Good relationship with Mom, but Karlie lived with Dad due to schools and location for the last eight to ten years. By the time Lindsay drove a two-hour drive to get to the home of the Gusé Family, nine hours had passed since her daughter had gone missing. It was not until this time the law enforcement checked and cleared the home in which Karlie went missing.
Dad – Zachary Gusé – Works in construction and nothing appears out of place until the interviews about his missing daughter. Stepmom, Melissa is leading the interviews and he is waiting on her for his responses. Stating a fact, not accusing. It is also told in an interview that he had been drinking heavily on Friday night, October 12, 2018. He told that he felt guilty for not being more coherent on what was going on. Again, this is not abnormal for a Friday night after a work week for many people.
Stepmom – Melissa Gusé – The last one to see Karlie. Karlie had worked part-time at with a title company that Melissa also works. From the family photos and posts, there is nothing that would call attention to this being a bad relationship. However, the twenty-seven videos she made from the day of Karlie’s disappearance even has me wondering, what in the hell were you thinking, guilty of a crime or not.
Circumstances Surrounding Karlie’s Disappearance.
Earlier in the evening on Friday, October 12, 2018, Karlie and her boyfriend, Donald had been hanging with a few friends and had smoked weed. (We have been told the weed was tested and it wasn’t laced) Karlie became paranoid and wasn’t feeling well. She called her stepmom to pick her up.
Melissa said she picked up Karlie around 8:30 p.m. on October 12, 2018, in Bishop, CA because Karlie said she was not feeling well. They made it home around 9 p.m. Stepmom and Dad said, “Karlie was panicked, disorientated and scared of them”.
Stepmom, Melissa allegedly made a twenty-three minute audio where she put the phone in her pocket. Many questions have come out on why she recorded this night. Stepmom says she wanted to show Karlie the next day how she was acting.
From this Audio
Melissa states, Karlie ate a salad and a power bar and joked about the salad being the “devils lettuce” (a term for marijuana). Karlie was very paranoid and wanted me to spend the night with her. Her brothers were awake and Zac was awake. We hung out and she ate, and then she was like, “can we go to bed” I was like yeah she said, “can you come sleep with me?” “yeah sure, why not whatever I’ll lay with you and watch a movie”, We hung out in the kitchen and talked a bunch, then her brothers went to bed and I went to bed with her.
Stepping Back to the Audio
Mom, Lindsay Fairley says Melissa allowed her to hear an eight-minute audio that Melissa had recorded of Karlie after they arrived back home. It was later stated the audio was the twenty-three minutes but Lindsay only heard the eight. In those eight minutes, Lindsay hears that Karlie called out to her Mom and Melissa says, I’m not your Mom. Karlie asks if she is going to be okay, to call 911. Lindsay says there sounded as if there was a scuffle, moving blankets, or something and the recording ended. When she inquired about the scuffle, Melissa walked away.
Lindsay was not called until around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018. When Zac called all he could say was, Karlie is gone, she’s just gone. Lindsay asks, had he called her friends or anyone and he says she went to a party and she is just gone. Lindsay called him back about twenty minutes later asking him had he heard anything and “he got really irate on the phone, yelled, he had to go, he just broke the fucking truck”.
In Nancy Grace’s interview with Zac and Melissa Gusé, it’s as if she is pulling tooth and nail to get any information. Are they feeling attacked or in fear of not remembering their last story?
In a live video just before Melissa was talking about driving over boulders in the desert. She has conflicting stories about waking up Karlie’s dad first before she went out looking ( Dateline and Nancy Grace interview). The truth is Karlie’s dad called Melissa at 7:30 a.m. to see where she was and she was already out in the desert looking.
In the Dateline interview stepmom says she slept in her bed and got up at 5:45a.m. like she usually does and opens the kids’ doors. Karlie was there, she went back to her bed went to sleep for a little and opened Karlie’s door again and she was just gone. (Source Dateline NBC)October 22, 2018, 5:28 p.m. Melissa later corrected this by saying she did not go back to her bed but had stayed in Karlie’s but when she woke back up Karlie was gone.
Melissa text Karlie’s boyfriend at 1a.m. on October 13, 2018 “Pray, Pray hard”.
He texts back at 5:48 a.m. “is Karlie Okay” Melissa texts back “she’s not okay, but will be okay” From here, Melissa falls back asleep and wakes up to Karlie gone.
Melissa’s timeline has changed more than once. Her stories have changed more than once which has created doubt for the public as to Melissa’s involvement the day Karlie went missing. Keep in mind, Melissa did take a polygraph.
Per the interview with Nancy Grace, neither Melissa or Zac could narrow down what Karlie was wearing. This has changed more than once. Even the tee she claimed she was wearing was later found in the laundry. Is it possible the fear and confusion of your own child going missing, you forget simple yet important information? “She has a pair of Vans missing” Why do we not know the color, size, etc. or is it unimportant because she is “just gone”?
Once again we are told, Law Enforcement handling this case has dropped the ball on investigating her disappearance. Are they actually building a case or is this another missing person file under other crime cases on someone’s desk? Law enforcement has not named a suspect or cleared anyone at this time.
More about the Disappearance of Karlie Guse’
Nancy Grace interview with stepmom and dad. Melissa has recently changed her statement on the clothing again.
This is the Dateline interview where Melissa Guse’ changed her story about the time and her sleeping with Karlie that night. Melissa’s live video’s contradicted this interview.
